 As a Christian thinking daily about how we can postpone the End Times foretold in Revelation and other books of the Bible, I began to wonder to what extent our position is to Peter's the night of our Lord's betrayal. My reasoning for fighting One World Government is fair; if Satan's plan is postponed, more people will be able to come to faith in Christ. Of course, it will eventually happen just as the Holy Spirit dictated through Isaiah, Daniel, John the Apostle, etc. But we shouldn't go down without a fight, right? Peter's dilemma is quickly revealed and resolved. He replies to Jesus' reaffirmation of the prophecy of his sacrifice for our sins with a flat out denial - Peter won't let it happen. He had just gotten a blessing from Jesus after correctly answering the ultimate question for everyone; "Who do you say I am?" But Peter was thrown into the dog house moments later denying that Jesus would have to die for his sin. "Get behind me, Satan...

THE MESSIANIC FINGERPRINTS OF JESSUS CHRIST PART ONE   The deeper one digs in the Old Testament the  more clear  the revelation of the coming Messiah Jesus becomes. The Bronze Snake that The Lord asks Moses to craft is one of those clear Messianic illustrations that Jesus Himself  referrs  to in John 3:14-15. But there's another tricky aspect of the bronze snake; the Second Commandment forbids the carving of any graven image. Is God asking Moses to violate His own Commandment? It would seem to the skeptic that God's contradicting Himself, so let's take a closer look at the Commandment.       Exodus 20:4-6. A CLOSER LOOK AT THE TEN COMMANDMENTS   My Pastor, Brad Schmidt of City Church Fort  Lauderdale,  gave  a rousing sermon on the transformative nature of the gospel (see the link below - I encourage you to listen). Speaking on how the Ten Commandments fits into the Gospel, he made what I think is a significant statement by showing how the First Commandment, "You shall have no other gods before Me", is broken each time you break Commandments 2 through 10. It's true.    He set it up thus; When you put someone or something ahead of God, you are saying, "You are not the source of my life." And, with the other Commandments, you are saying God is not the source of whatever the Commandment is pointing to. Thoughts on Hosting a Gay Wedding   In May, 2015, I hosted a wedding for two women in the restaurant I ran at the time. As opposed to denying them, we treated them with the utmost respect, and they raved about our hospitality. The wedding reception took up the upper level of the restaurant in full view of the rest of the eatery and its guests. Ironically, one of the ladies, the more masculine one, dressed as the groom and the more feminine one dressed as the bride. No one outside of the party realized it was a gay wedding.    In the hospitality industry there has been a lot of controversy over Christians baking cakes for gay weddings; i.e. being asked to sell a product or service for a gay wedding event. While I believe that it is right to honor God's commands regarding marriage, I disagree with the refusal to serve the gay potential customer's request. First published August 8, 2009 No Escaping Jesus - Reality points to the one true Savior Certainly there are other religions and practices, but the fact that they exist do not qualify them as gates to the eternal place of wonder. As I said before, Jesus never mentioned any other gates as there was no need to. That might sound arrogant to someone who believes in including all religions as equivalent. In a legal sense, all religions are indeed equivalent. It would be a negative for Christianity to be forced on a person; anathema to the whole message of Jesus. Religions are equivalent in that they are treated equally in the body politic, but that does not mean they are equally valid. The truth is that Christianity is a world apart from all other religions.
